Hey Blog friends, ever heard of Matador Travel? Matador is keeping it real as the best travel social networking site, connecting thousands of wandering souls and travel enthusiasts and giving voice to travel writers and news from around the world. I have been apart of the Matador Community since I have been traveling some year and a half ago and have recently have accepted a position of video ninja on this growing site. What is a video ninja? Well, I sneak around and edit travel videos and create original content for Matadors 7 websites. Today was the kick off of our first collab where we are trying to foster video uploads on our Youtube group, so I can chop together a collab and give out some prizes. David Miller, my personal luke skywalker hooked me up to the Matador community and I have been stoked to receive footage from Journalists from Gitmo and cool people from around the glizz-obe!
The future looks bright and shiny for me and Matador... I have to say this is what I imagined when I was bumming around Southeast Asia, connecting to a community of creative souls and travelers and leading a multimedia movement to bring direct experience to life on the internet.

I have been at work creating trailers and zingers for Matador Travel Network and will have footage and narrative by Julie S, a Matador community leader and journalist captured during her visit to Camp x~Ray, a now closed detention camp grow over by weeds. Since you cannot leave Gitmo with footage of actual detainees or a lot of other things, after your film is censored it is a whole lot of barbed wire fence. But interviews with guards and kitchen staff reveal a human side to the eerie weed strewn prison.

Here is a piece I helped create for Matador Travel

So subscribe to the Matador Network Channel on Youtube HERE
And upload your footage to our group HERE
